Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Certified Master ART Practitioner
Helping you find relief without getting stuck in all the details of the past.
Do you ever feel stuck playing those upsetting memories over and over?
You know – the ones that leave you feeling anxious, angry, or just plain drained.
You've been carrying this burden for a long time. You might even be thinking, "Haven't I dealt with this enough already?"
Therapy has crossed your mind, but the thought of spending months, even years, reliving painful memories feels exhausting. You crave a deeper solution, a way to move forward without getting stuck in the details.
What if there was a way to rewrite the story your brain tells about the past?
What if just ONE session could make all the difference?
ART empowers your brain to do the healing work, so you can move past the triggers and patterns that have been holding you back.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy can help you feel like yourself again in the midst of:
Trauma & painful experiences
Distressing memories and images
Anxiety, fears, and phobias
Feeling reactive to small things
Anger and irritability
Feeling disconnected
Grief and loss
Guilt about the past
How it works
Your memories don't have to be so distressing. Accelerated Resolution Therapy can help you rewrite your story.
Memories create connections between different parts of your brain, and sometimes, these connections aren't properly processed. This can leave us with upsetting memories that linger and cause pain. Through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), we complete the processing of troubling experiences, neutralizing them, and even transforming them into positive ones. They become facts of your past that no longer hold power over you.
You don’t need to recount the details of your trauma if you don't want to. You're in control of the process, while I guide you through it. With just 1-5 sessions, I will help you identify triggering images and sensations and replace them with positive ones. Once the negative bits are replaced, you'll find relief from sleepless nights and intrusive thoughts. You will be able to remember the facts without the pain.
Beyond our sessions, I’ll teach you tools to take home. These tools will empower you to continue the healing process on your own, helping you manage your emotions, calm your nerves, alleviate anxiety, and even improve your sleep quality.
With ART, we rewrite the story of your experiences, clearing the path to better communication, parenting, relationships, and connections. It's a transformative intervention that puts you back in control of your life, with the support and guidance you need every step of the way.
How we’ll work together
We’ll start with an in-depth intake session. This will give me an opportunity to learn more about you and your goals, answer any questions you have, and co-create a plan to track your progress throughout our work together.
You choose the format that works best for you:
-
If you prefer to make progress steadily over time, we can meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for 50- or 80-minute sessions. ART sessions are typically scheduled for 80 minutes to give sufficient time for full processing
-
For accelerated results, concentrated therapy in the form of intensives may be a good fit for you. Like a large dose of therapy at once, you can experience rapid relief and healing with a relatively small time investment. 1- and 2-day options available. Click here to learn more.

If you’re already working with another therapist and finding the work there helpful, great! Accelerated Resolution Therapy can be a powerful addition to your work by helping to break through a specific barrier or accelerate your healing as you continue working with your therapist. Adjunct therapy can occur via ongoing or intensive therapy.

Frequently asked questions
-
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) focuses on the "how" of healing. It guides your brain to reprocess upsetting memories and images in a way that reduces or eliminates pain while retaining knowledge. No need to relive the trauma in all its details over and over. It's a fast-acting approach, with results often seen in just 1-5 sessions.
-
ART and EMDR use some of the same mechanisms. However, ART tends to be more gentle, and research suggests that its effects are deeper and longer lasting than EMDR.
ART can be a good fit if you have tried EMDR and it didn’t feel like the right fit.
-
While ART is a newer modality, it is classified as evidence-based and research indicates it may be more effective than Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and prolonged exposure due to its increased precision. Patients are shown to experience continued progress even after treatment is complete.
-
It is generally recommended that ART sessions be done in person, especially in the case of severe trauma. However, your location should not be a barrier to access. I’m happy to help you determine the best options for your particular situation during our consultation.
-
ART sessions are designed to be completed on their own. Depending on your needs, goals, and timeline, we can focus solely on ART sessions, or alternate with talk therapy. We’ll discuss this as we begin our work together.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a remarkably effective approach for addressing a wide range of concerns that impact your emotional well-being and daily life. As a Certified Master ART Practitioner, I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy art to help clients work through trauma and painful experiences, anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism and self-doubt, people-pleasing patterns, emotional reactivity, phobias, imposter syndrome, and unhelpful relationship patterns that keep you stuck.
This approach is particularly powerful for individuals who feel disconnected from their emotions yet overwhelmed by emotional reactivity at the same time. Many of my clients are high achievers who have tried self-help strategies or even previous therapy but still find themselves caught in patterns that no longer serve them. Accelerated Resolution Therapy works differently than traditional talk therapy because it helps your brain reprocess difficult experiences and memories without requiring you to relive them in detail or talk extensively about every painful moment.
In my practice, I often use Accelerated Resolution Therapy early in our work together, especially when clients are dealing with specific incidents, phobias, or traumas that are creating barriers to progress. For those coming specifically for adjunct work or targeted concerns like a single incident trauma, I'll often jump right into Accelerated Resolution Therapy art during our first session. The approach is highly adaptable to your unique needs, whether you're addressing one specific issue or working through multiple layered concerns that have built up over time. If you're curious about whether Accelerated Resolution Therapy might help with your specific situation, reach out to discuss how this evidence-based approach could support your journey toward feeling more calm and in control.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy sessions are structured to give you adequate time for meaningful processing and resolution. The length of each session depends on what we're working on and your individual needs. Unlike traditional therapy where sessions are typically 50 minutes, Accelerated Resolution Therapy art often works best when we have more time to complete the processing work without feeling rushed.
In my practice, I customize the session format based on your goals and what you're addressing. Some clients benefit from incorporating Accelerated Resolution Therapy into standard length sessions as part of our broader therapeutic work. Others find that dedicating longer blocks of time to Accelerated Resolution Therapy allows for more complete processing and resolution in a single session. The flexibility of this approach means we can structure our time together in a way that serves you best.
When we meet, we'll discuss what session length makes the most sense for your situation. Treatment is always customized to your needs, and we can adjust our schedule as we go. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, while others find that longer sessions every other week work better with their schedule and therapeutic goals. The beauty of Accelerated Resolution Therapy is that many clients experience noticeable progress quickly, which can be highly motivating as you continue your work. Whether you're meeting with me in person in Roseville or connecting online throughout California or Texas, we'll find a session structure that supports your healing without adding stress to your life. Your first Accelerated Resolution Therapy session is designed to be both comfortable and effective. Before we begin the Accelerated Resolution Therapy art process, I'll explain how the approach works and answer any questions you have about what you're about to experience. We'll talk about what you're hoping to address, and I'll walk you through each step so you know exactly what to expect. Understanding the process helps you feel more at ease and ready to engage in the work.
During the session, you'll be guided to recall the issue or memory we're addressing while following specific eye movements. What makes Accelerated Resolution Therapy unique is that you don't need to talk in detail about painful experiences if you don't want to. The processing happens through the eye movements and the techniques we use, allowing your brain to reprocess difficult material in a way that reduces distress. I'll be there with you throughout the entire session, providing guidance and support while your brain does its natural healing work. Many clients are surprised by how much relief they experience in just one session, though everyone's experience is unique.
It's normal to feel a bit uncertain before trying something new, especially if this is your first time working with a body-based or reprocessing approach. As a Certified Master ART Practitioner with extensive training and experience, I've guided many individuals through their first Accelerated Resolution Therapy session. My role is to create a safe environment where you feel supported and where your brain can do what it naturally knows how to do. Some clients come specifically for Accelerated Resolution Therapy to address a phobia or single incident trauma, and in those cases, we might jump right into the work during our first session. Others incorporate Accelerated Resolution Therapy as part of broader therapeutic goals. Either way, the process is tailored to your comfort level and needs. If you have questions about what to expect or want to learn more about whether Accelerated Resolution Therapy is right for you, I'm here to help you make an informed decision about your care.
